Have clueless display telephone numbers and BBEU IDs somewhere.

I would like clueless to display telephone numbers and BBEU IDs somewhere prominently. Can’t find them at all at the moment.

allow additional L2TP login on the same service without another quota - useful for failover.

Have 2 L2TP 'lines' on the same login which the end-user can route as they wish, but not add any additional quota (and therefore no significant additional cost). IP blocks can then be routed as per the normal process, allowing for seamless...

Reinstate per-IP traffic monitoring

Please reinstate per-ip traffic monitoring. This is really useful if you suddenly get a traffic spike to find out what machine is causing the problem.
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 15.10.2010
The per-IP usage was removed when we changed our core routers. This feature is in the list to be implemented, and is a feature that is missed by customers and support staff alike :-)

Telephone Number to Name Directory hosted @ AAISP

which then displayed the caller’s name instead of their telephone number when forwarded on by either SIP or Also Ring numbers.
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 25.09.2012
Our system does allow you to add a Name field per number, which is then used when calling other SIP phones. If this is not what yo're after, then please do email in to us.
We're not keen on a 'directory' though, sorry.

SOAP or XML Interface for Usage Data

It would be useful to have access to an accounts usage data either via SOAP or XML. Doing this would allow 3rd party applications to be created to present this data to the user via a desktop widget or sys-tray application, or, for the more...

Please see: https://support.aa.net.uk/CHAOS - usage is available via the 'CHAOS' API.

Mirror popular Linux repositories

In a similar vein to running a WSUS server, running mirrors of popular Linux distros (e.g. Ubuntu, Fedora) would cut down incoming traffic.
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 29.10.2010
We have a project under way to move our main web server on to new hardware (multi front-end servers using shared storage) in a different datacentre - once this work has been done we'll look in to whether being a mirror is feasible.

Partner/reseller programme

I would love to be able to resell your Mobile Voip Sim service. If this becomes an option please let me know
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 21.04.2015
Sorry for delay, we do have a dealer scheme, do contact us. The only issue with things like SIMs, is that there is little room for revenue sharing. Still, do contact us though.

Extending Clueless to be monitored and used by automated logic

It'd be excellent if the features of clueless had a (preferably RESTful) API. I'd like to be able to write code to monitor my line activity and do stuff like automatically switch to a 3dB profile when my transfer rate spikes, then drop back to...
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 21.04.2015
See: http://aa.net.uk/support-chaos.html And please do email in with features you would like to be added. I'll don't think your specific request is in the API yet, but do contact us about it. (I'll close this idea for now though)

Share expertise and experiences from userbase and help document AAISP-land

AAISP's site could do with being expanded with more extensive documentation and more in the knowledgebase, more help, defining terms and more extensive howtos. Get your faithful users to help by pitching in. AAISP's customers are a savvy lot....
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 15.10.2010
We have a wiki at http://wiki.aaisp.org.uk/ -we welcome customers to add content, AAISP staff will add content too, and will try to keep it well organised. If we feel it's useful and working well then we'll officially launch it.

Follow up incidents with BT responses

Quite a lot of incidents on the support site say "we are chasing BT for an explanation", but I rarely notice that an explanation is added. I'm not sure whether this is because BT don't given an explanation, or whether they do, but it doesn't...
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 20.10.2010
We do ask BT for updates, and often they are unable to provide any information. We will be review this with BT though.

make outgoing voip calls through your service without having any numbers from you.

i have incoming voip numbers routed successfully to my pbx. However finding good quality outgoing termination is difficult. your company look as though they could provide this but the service is not listed. My original interest is in your ISp...
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 10.12.2010
You can use us for outgoing and use a different company for your incoming. You will need to purchase a number from us though - as our system requires a number. however, you don't need to publish that number or use it for incoming... A number just costs £1/month, so you'll just pay that and can make your calls. We can set the caller id at our end to match your real number if you like (there is an extra setup cost for that though).
I hope this helps.

Change log for updates to control page features

It would be nice to know about the changes to the control pages - new/updated features and the like. Possible Solution: Supply an RSS feed and/or page on clueless which would list any changes to clueless that would be relevant to customers....
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 25.10.2010

Reduce peak time prices

The prices for peak time useage of ADSL, look steep - £3.50 (approx) per gig? Ouch!... Though, I do think you should charge more at peak times this is a little excessive - I think I'll be making far more use of my 3 network 3g dongle at these...

offer WLR3

Please offer bundled telecoms/DSL packages using BT's WLR3 so that I can avoid having to deal with BT Retail. If you can bundle in competitive VoIP services as well, even better!
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 20.10.2010
This is already in progress, it's taking time, but it is getting there. We have some final things to do on the ordering side and the billing. At the moment customers can order pstn lines from us, but we're unable to allow outgoing calls. -contact sales for more information.

Provide an option for 10Mbps upstream on FTTC without having to buy premium

IDnet charges £1.20 per month additional for 10Mbps upstream, could you provide a similar option for those of us who want the extra throughput but don't care about prioritisation?

Give lines in clueless a "Friendly" name.

Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 14.12.2010
This has been done. A 'Note' can be set on an individual line, which is then shown in search results and when viewing that line.

Have an optional emergency cutout on lines

It's possible for a maxed out FTTC at 40Mbps to download more than 100G of data at peak time in one day. At current excess charges, that equates to about £200. So an out of control download (e.g. a large backup restore of > 1TB) could land you...
Response from the site administrator

Our Home::1 tariff may be better for this (If this is a home). There are options there on what happen when the usual monthly quota is reached.

Reinstate graph links that you can show to anonymous users

We used to be able to email a link to someone which allowed them to see a graph but that only lasts a day now - I know that the permanent link can be made but it is fiddly and difficult.
Response from the site administrator
aaisp, 28.11.2012
The graphs on the Usage page (which show the past weeks worth of graphs) don't contain any user information - only the URL will contain the circuit ID. This should be what you're wanting.

Response from the site administrator

We'd like to better layout and organise the front page of the status page, as it can get cluttered and unclear which posts are important and current... Feel free to add comments on suggestions, but this will be looked in to.

Unfortunately this site is hosted by a third party - in short because we couldn't find a suitable alternative.

We could write our own, but at the moment developers are working on other projects.

SIP IP lockdown to subnet

Currently it is possible to lock down SIP registration and outgoing calls to a single IP. It would be even better if this could be locked down to a subnet (or even multiple subnets).
Response from the site administrator

This is now possible, multiple IPv6 and IPv4 subnets/IPs can be listed.
