A data feed for lines that are currently down

This data feed would show all lines that are currently down and allow for users to monitor a line without logging in to check, and therefore allowing integration in to other systems.

A very interesting idea, not sure about Data Protection implications though, which might kill it.

I assume you are aware of the "line down" alerting by SMS email and twitter, which may be of use to you as an alternative.
