Use A&A for MS Teams direct routing

While we're still using A&A VoIP we've also dabbled with Microsoft Teams and it PSTN integration and phone and call plans.

We can buy UK and International calling plans from Microsoft, but there are also alternative 'direct routing' providers:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/direct-routing-plan

The documentation talks about SBCs (Session Border Controllers) and I'm not familiar with them, other than to wonder if the fb6000 could be a cloud SBC?

A&A's VoIP charges are cheaper than MS calling plans, particularly in their bundle minutes vs pure usage nature, but there's complexity with configuring and managing firebricks with b2b VoIP, SMONs or SIP software clients that MS Teams bypasses. Users also prefer the integration and flexibility of MS Teams over what we've managed to provide via SNOMs. So we're seriously considering moving, but using direct routing via A&A would be a good 'merged' solution.

THere are a number of UK providers in this space, but I wonder if AAISP would slot into this market nicely?
